This directory is not published yet, and we will not put up an empty one. The Environment Agency public register covers every registered waste carrier, not only tyre carriers, so the businesses are already in our synced copy. What is missing is the step that works out which of them carry scrap metal.
That step runs once, when the register is imported, and its results are checked by hand on a sample before a single page goes live. Until that check is done, this page stays as it is.
These businesses are registered waste carriers with the Environment Agency. Which waste they carry is our own inference from the business name and, where available, the registered company's SIC code — it is not a declaration by the carrier. Always confirm with the carrier before you hand over waste.
